The dashboard

How the Myzo Parents dashboard is laid out, what each card means, and what to look at when you open the app.

Updated 2026-09-07

The dashboard is the first thing you see when you open Myzo Parents. It's designed to answer one question in under three seconds: how is my kid doing today? Everything you'd otherwise dig for — active tasks, today's focus time, XP earned, streak, upcoming due dates — is on this one screen.

The header

At the top, you'll see your kid's name, their current XP total, and their day streak. If you have multiple kids on the account, tap the name to switch between them. The screen re-renders with that kid's data immediately — no reload, no lag.

Today's summary

The top card is the "today" summary. It shows:

  • Focus time today — total minutes across every focus session your kid has run since midnight.
  • Tasks completed today — how many they've marked done.
  • XP earned today — points added to their total from finished tasks, completed focus blocks, and any achievements they unlocked.

Active tasks

Below the summary, every task in your kid's Today view is mirrored on your dashboard, grouped by section (Next Session, Incomplete, Ready to Turn In, Past Due, Completed). See Managing tasks for what each section means.

Tap any task card to see its full history: which days work was done, how many focus blocks were spent on it, when it was created, when it was finished, and — for graded tasks — what score it received.

Approval banners

Just under the header, one or more attention banners appear when something's waiting on you. They match the same visual pattern so you can spot them at a glance.

  • Reward approvals — kids have redeemed XP for a reward you configured. Tap to review and mark as delivered.
  • Flashcard access requests — if you've turned off either of the flashcard toggles for a kid (visibility, or "let create") and they tap the locked control, Myzo surfaces an alert here asking you to flip the switch. Tap it, review who's asking for what, and toggle the setting right inside the modal. See Flashcards for the full flow.
  • Kid pairing prompts — if you've added a kid but their device isn't paired yet, a prompt reminds you to scan the QR code or share the setup code with them.

Banners disappear automatically the moment you resolve them.

Recently removed

If your kid deletes a task, it lands in the Deleted section on their side for 30 days before being purged. On your dashboard, a Recently removed section appears at the bottom whenever there's anything there. You can restore any of them with one tap.

The same applies to kids themselves — if you remove a child from your family, they show up in a "Recently removed" list for 7 days with a Restore action.

Grades snapshot

At the bottom of the dashboard, a small grades card shows your kid's current subject averages if grade tracking is on. Tap it to open the full Grades + progress view.
